how deep inside during the time a human being digs his own believes, and what is necessary to happen in order to feel these emotions again? lucia, married to a twenty-year older matjaz, tries to escape from memories, which persecute her for more than nine years,
doing obsessive apartment décor. the act of publishing matjaz’s novel “more” and leon’s appearance make sharp relation between lovers and bring lucia into the new moments of suffering and having landmark that made her a transformed young rebel into stuffy slovenian professor. this very gentle drama about life choices and losses puts
“shit boxes in front of the door” which belong to those who sold their youth ideals
and who don’t remember having a belief in changing the world, although
they haven’t forgotten it.
simona semenic (1975) is an author, drama writer and glej theatre art director in ljubljana. she is a co-author of “a fistful of empty hands” performance (2001), "solo no peek" (2003) and "she said" (2005/festivals: ica london, act franch new york,
fundateneo festival caracas). she worked as a "what a feeling" co-author and drama writer together with nina masko (2003), “black kitchen” mini theatre ljubljana (2004), "cleaned" sarah
kane and
“alphabet city topography" post theater berlin / new york (2005). her dramas
"socks”, “loving willy" and "you haven’t forgotten, you just don’t remember anymore
"were displayed during the scene reading in ljubljana, kranj, new york and novi sad.
she is
drama co-author "comme-moi" as well, which was performed
on the opening night in september 2006.
the performance "you haven’t forgotten..." is showed as a visitor on kluze tower festival on 13th august 2008. in november there will be an opening night in ljubljana, in theatre glej, as well as participating in a special program of 43rd boristnikov’s meetings in maribor.
